2019 Flavours of the Iberian Peninsula I was so taken with Alameda Apodaca Park in Cadiz that I decided to give it a page of it's own so that I could get a few more photos in without making the Cadiz page too long! Yes, it's just a park (and not a large one) but the wonderful trees and statues etc. make it a joy. Firstly, Carlos Edmundo de Ory. Apparently an avant-garde poet (not my thing but...). Interestingly though, his statue is seen creeping away from his empty plinth. How cool is that and, well done whoever came up with the idea.
Next, to Captain Ramón Power y Giralt (a Puerto Rican but Puerto Rico was part of Spain in those days). An opportunity to see the lovely twisty trees!
An excellent wander.
