Stayed at the New Winter Palace, Luxor in January 2000. Excellent Hotel and the most fabulous holiday. Expect to come back from a visit to the Egyptian Historical Sites with a crick in the neck from looking up at the stupendous temples and a permanently open mouth from staring in disbelief at these edifices which are, it doesn't seem possible, thousands of years old.
