Listen to Parchman Farm Blues (well, 35 seconds of it)

Booker T. Washington White
born November 12th. 1909 - Houston, Texas
died February 26th. 1977 - Memphis, Tennessee

Great growly voice and great slide guitar. Probably best known for "Fixing to die ", which was covered by Bob Dylan on his first album. Parchman Farm, by the way, is a prison in Mississippi and he sang from experience!

Listen to three versions of an alternative Parchman Farm:

Johnny Winter
Alex Harvey & his Soul Band
Peter Jay & the Jaywalkers
