To celebrate sister Ann's birthday and our anniversary we took a 28 day cruise around the Eastern Med and North Africa (with Ann and husband Michael) calling at Cadiz, Malaga, Valetta (Malta), Tripoli (Libya), Benghazi (Libya), Alexandria (Egypt), Limassol (Cyprus), Alanya (Turkey), Rhodes, Heraklion (Crete), Palermo (Sicily), Gibraltar, Lisbon.
Very good although we still feel that Saga's standards have slipped somewhat. Having said that, we went on the QM2 with Cunard a couple of weeks later and this reminded us how good Saga are!
As the Anniversary and the Birthday were two days apart we had dinner in the excellent View Restaurant (no extra charge, unlike Cunard and P & O) on the day in between (see picture).
